Theater: Big Top Burnt Up

Buenos Aires: Big Top Burnt Up (Carpa Quemada) is the story of the circus set up by the english clown Fran Brown in 1910, at the corner of Florid St. and Córdoba Av. as part of the celebration of the Firt Century of May Revolution in Argentina.

The Story tells that the Big Top was burnt up intentionally by a group of families of porteña the high society.

Big Top use music, humor and through circus resources to tell the frustrations of argentinian history.

Bit Top Burnt Up was distinguished by the Trinidad Guevara prize in Costumes and Direction, and the Teatro del Mundo prize (UBA) in costumes.
