
“She was different” song gets a GLAAD Award
The mexican folk music band “Los Tigres del Norte” will be recognized in the twenty-sixth edition of GLAAD Awards.
The song “She was different” (Ella era diferente in spanish) tells the story of a beautiful woman who was attracted by her best girl friend, and doesn’t pay any attention to men of her neighbourhood.
For GLAAD organization (founded in 1985 with the proposal of defending equality and rights of transgender, bisexual, lesbian and gay community) the message of the song written by Los Tigres del Norte is an acceptance call and no discrimination.
The mexican band has already won six Grammy Award, and will be given, this one, next march 21 in Los Angeles.
