Colombia a Step Backwards

Bogotá: Last Tuesday, the Colombian Senate approved the bill which allows the Referendum “to ban single men and gay people adopt”. The Senator Viviane Morales introduced this bill and got 53 votes in favour and 21 against. The next fase is played at the Representatives Chamber, and the Supreme Court at last.
If colombians vote proposal, not only homosexual families will be affected but also single fathers, single mothers, fathers and widows mothers.
There is still a possibility to avoid Referendum, when it gets to the Supreme Court, ’cause it happes this is same Court which allowed adoption for same sex couples last year.
President Juan Manuel Santos has already said he is supporting this bill.
